WHO I AM

From a young age, I knew I wanted to help others. When I was 18 I went to America to attend university on a tennis scholarship. After a degree in Psychology and a Masters in Therapeutic Practice I worked as a crisis counsellor and social worker in a busy hospital in Phoenix Arizona.  I moved into various roles in the health care setting always with a focus on improving experiences for staff and patients.  Since moving back to the UK over 20 years ago I have worked in the NHS and also the private sector and 10 years ago I made the decision to start my own private practice.  I see clients from my home clinic and also offer on-line support.

I recently worked as a practitioner for Talking Therapies, a service commissioned to provide therapeutic interventions and support for victims and survivors of sexual abuse.

I have trained in a wide range of therapeutic approaches which means I can ensure you get the right support for you as an individual.  These approaches include Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Inner Child Therapy, Neuro Linguistic Programming (NLP), Emotional Freedom Technique (EFT), Hypnotherapy, sports and personal performance,
